I was installing some lights that required a seperate electrical source . At the same time i was listening to the radio . I was cought off guard and disconected the negative battery terminal with the ignition key on and my radio playing . NOw the car wont start and the radio dosnt work . Also the parking light fiicker once i connect the battery back up and some kind of a switch goes on and off really fast inside the car by the glove box . So i disconected the parking light fuse and now it dosnt flicker but car still wont start . Please help . My paerent are yelling at me ...... And I just got the car 3 days ago .

make sure the ground is properly tightened and the terminal is clean. Possible you killed the battery listening to the radio. Does the car crank?

battery is dead because of the radio and the battery fuse in the little box by the battery is fried . Switch them out from my dads car( also a civic ) and it started cranking but battery so weak that it wont start. I'll do it tomorrow because my parents are having a party today .

Jump start it. Get some cables and jump from your dad's car or something.

yep lesson learned . Thank god no major problems . After checking everything out we found that the battery was totally dead . Jump starting didnt help because a fuse (box by the battery) was blown We replaced it with a fuse from my dads car (98 lx) and it started to crank but battery is so weka that it would not catch all the way. The only thing is that I could have blown the radio .... But will find out tomorrow . I thought that my whole electricial system went down . God that would be a lot of $$$ to fix .
