"Saddle Soap" is what the Accord owner's manual suggests for cleaning the leather in your car. I have tried everything else I could find, and finally found some saddle soap at the local feed store. It works great. It cleans without removing any of the color, protects, and makes the leather feel softer. Wish I would have found some sooner. $5.00 for a can that will probably last forever. I know that detail trucks carry some creamy leather cleaners that won't fade the leather.
But I must agree that soap can't really damage anything.
