My son just put fuel in his 93 integra and drove about 6 miles when it lost power and coasted to the side of the freeway , It turns over ok but will not fire , It looks and sounds fine when turning over and he said it didnt back fire or over heat before losing power , Everything sounds tight , The car has had pretty good care and Im not to sure where to start , Anybody have a good starting place for me to check ??

Start by checking for spark, then fuel. That will narrow down the process.

ignitor? in the distributor?

my friend was merely backing my car up to pull it into a garage and it died on the spot, ignitor was the culprit. If you don't have any spark you might check that out.

 

check for spark first. i've had that problem before. it could be something else but i would start there.
