Dashboard Removal
I need some help. I have followed every step in the HELMs Manual. Obviously I am missing something. This is what is done.
All 6 bolts are removed
Steering wheel is lowered to the floor.
Front seats removed
ABS disabled.
The problem I am having is that IT does not seem to come loose. I do not want to yank on it too much for fear od warping it. The center pin that the dash board rest on, is it wedged on that. How hard do I need to pull on it to remove it. Any help would be appreciated.

i think i remember having to lift up and foward
you didn't need to take the seats out
make sure all the wiring is disconnected before you pull it out
i sat up on the edge of the passenger seat and used my knee under the dash to lift up and out at the same time
also be careful of the rear view mirror when you take it out.

Does it still feel completely tight like it's still bolted on?? Take off everything around it like the center console, climate controls, glove box, etc and see if it'll budge then.

Glove boxe is out, Radio is out, climate control is out Steering wheel is droped. All os this is done and it still feels like it is bolted in. I follow the book exactly and it still does not even budge. Went back over the directions several times. Still nothing.
I started but did not complete it because it is not in the instructions in the helm manual. Are ythe gauges connected to the dash or the unibody?

Gauges bolt to the dash 100%...maybe someone used some adhesive or double sided tape somewhere?

What? There's bolts for the AC evaporator and the blower and stuff behind them, but the only dash bolts are on the sides....unless I am grossly mistaken

There are 6 bolts total, 2 in the middle console and 2 on each side of the dash.

The 2 in the middle are not for the dash itself. The one on the driver side is for the steering column support that the dash only rests on (which has a few small things connected to it), and the passenger side bolt is for the airbag/dash support bar under the dash but not connected to it...I guess if you still have an airbag it could still be connected, though. I've taken my dash apart a lot lately.

I looked behind the tweeters and the only bolts close to that are the oe behind the side access panels that I already removed. There are 2 metal supports on either side of the dash that are underneath and not hidden by the access panels. I think both of those are the bolts that are holding this up. The top of the dash board will rock forward so there are no connections at the top, only at the bottom. Tomorrow,. I will take the 2 bolts I found off and hope for the best. They are not listed in the manual at all.

I got it. It was the bracket under the passenger airbag. I mis-read the manual. But that also explains why very few remember that.
Thanks for everyon's help.
