ODBI and OBDII vtec solenoid= same?

ODBI and OBDII vtec solenoid= same?
I have a 99 si which is obdIIb...someone is offering me a obdI vtec solenoid and said he thinks they are the same....can anyone tell me if thats true or not because i have had so much trouble looking for a obdII solenoid for my b16...thank you!
