Default Positive camber and knocking sound

I've searched around for a while, but just have to go ahead and ask.

My wife's RSX-S has 1.5 degree's positive camber on the passenger front wheel. Not sure how it happened, but it's there. I change the LCA and nothing. Got a set of Koni Yellow's (And tein s.tech's) thinking maybe the shock was bent. The wheel is now near 0, but it should be -1.5 like the driver's side (since it is now lower). So it wasn't the LCA or the shock.

I am now hearing a slight knocking/popping sound when I turn the steering wheel. It happens randomly and is only audible < 5 mph. I'm thinking wheel bearing now, but I don't want to keep spending money without a second opinion.

My only other thought is the camber and knocking have nothing to do with eachother, and the knocking is just the tie-rod ball joint needing regreased, and the camber is maybe the knuckle or something. Any input would be appreciated!

she hit a curb or something.

the camber was going to change because of the springs changing ride height anyway.

because of the macpherson strut design of the suspension, i could only think its the shock or LCA too. the only other thing could be the frame being bent too, but i assume the LCA would be bent first or along with the subframe. and since there was no change with the new lca, im kinda stumped too.

sorry, not being too helpful, just thinking out loud with you.

hmmm, then does that reduce it to the knuckle being messed up then? im not too familiar with the rsx parts, but it seems kinda beefy too.

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">she hit a curb or something. </TD></TR></TABLE>

Wouldn't surprise me She went four off at the track and was blaming that, but it's pretty flat dirt out there.

ya, the knuckle is pretty beefy, thats why it was last on my list, but I'm running out of things to blame.

I just checked the wheel bearing again, and it's defintiely bad. It's at least causing the knocking. I'm going to replace that and get another alignment. When the camber issue started though the wheel bearing didn't seem to be bad. Hopefully this takes care of it anyway.

Thanks for the input

yeah, something caused that bearing to go bad, and shifted the camber as well.

i dont think going agricultural at the track could definately do that, but its possible it dug in enough to cause the damage.

Knocking sound and bad wheel bearing problem were actually the Koni sleeve not snug. So I'm still not sure. I'm going to get a knuckle (with a new wheel bearing anyway) next. I hope thats it. I've really had my fill of this issue.

Good news is I can tear down and rebuild the front suspension in about 10 minutes now
