have a chance to pick up a 91 Si hatch, new brakes and clutch, working a/c, no rust but has a few dings, faded paint for 1500. Mechanically it's 100%. I'm thinking of using it for a dd during the winter. Think that's a fair price?

Don't winter drive an EF. Buy it and use it has a summer car.

Good price if the mileage is good and if the engine has no leaks.

 

yea i got a hatch with no rust for 1500. dont drive it in the winter though. then it will never rust

 

Thanks, we don't get much snow here, none for a couple of years, so don't have to worry much about the salt stuff. Have some nasty days when I just don't want to drive anything I'd have to worry about....and don't wanna park 20 miles away at the end of the parking lot.

 

if you can get a good deal go for it. as long as its not all riced out nobody will mess with your car.

 

It's bone stock, just needs a little lovin'. As far as I can tell the only thing that someone did was put some really ugly wheel cover thingies on it.

What' the mileage like? If you have the chance, take off the valve cover and inspect the inside of the engine.
