victor X is for built motor revving high rpms.

victor X-Optimized for maximum power from 7000 to 10000 RPM, the Victor X Intake manifold is designed for turbo and all-motor applications.
Engineered for high performance and race set-ups, this Intake manifold has four additional bosses for nitrous or added fuel injectors.
The Victor X is 7.5 pounds lighter than the stock Intake manifold and accepts oversized throttle bodies out-of-the-box, like the JG/Edelbrock 65mm throttle body.

skunk2-The Skunk2 Racing Intake Manifold has substantially improved flow characteristics over the factory unit. Dyno-testing has shown an 8 to 15 hp increase on naturally aspirated applications at the wheels. The Skunk2 Racing Intake manifold is also perfect for forced induction applications.
The Skunk2 Racing Intake manifold is designed to utilize all factory sensors.
Use of this Intake manifold will affect emissions.

"Use of this Intake manifold will affect emissions."

this meaning that you would get less gas mileage because it cuts the secondaries out or what?

i have the skunk2 intake with an ITR throttle body, and it works great! i like it cause i don't make power in the 9000 to 10000 range so for me it works perfect, and i would highly recommened it!

If you don't have a fully built N/A or boosted motor, the Victor X is way too big.

i would only use the edelbrock for a serious all motor or boosted application due to the vey large size, you would probably lose some air velocity with a slightly modified NA setup

I have the skunk2 manifold on my gsr and it is a very nice product

Your going to have to bore the Intake Manny to match a 68-70mm Throttlebody, I do not know if you can bore a Skunk2 that big or not.

Not to thread jack or anything, but which would be better for a boosted applicated running at say 7psi on a b18c1?

I had a skunk2 boosted on my old setup, nothing to complain about, VictorX on my new setup. If you only plan to run that low boost just get the skunk2.

the inlet size of the skunk2 manifold is 65mm

for a mild all motor I would go with a 68mm throttle body at most

Just to show the size comparison between the skunk 2 and the edelbrock.....the skunk 2 is obviously the one installed in the car.

Who said you lose power? What are you comparing a loss in power to? A skunk2 will make more power than stock on a boosted car, a victorX will make more in most situations if not all.

you may lose a little low-end power, but you make good increases from the mid to high-end of the power band

ok... but there is a badge on it somwhere right... i have a pro series skunk2 on mine... but still there should be a badge somewhere, its so hard to find legit skunk2 dealer, not saying you don't have the real thing... but my buddy bought a fake one and it looks identical to yours....
