Default Getting rims, quick offset and tire question

Ok, im planning on ordering my rims/tires her in the next week or so. Im really wanting the Rota Grids, 16 inchers. They have to different off sets, 25 or 40, which fits better, i thought it was the 40 but want to make sure.

Also, tires. Im looking at either Toyo Proxes, or BF Goodrich gForce sport. Any one have any history or opinions on these tires? Also how would a 45 series fit, tire rack suggests 40 series but i dont wanna go to low.

toyos are nice IMHO

but I think the Parada Spec-2 tires I ahve on my car are ncie, and they are reinforced (dont ahve to worry about bending a rim on potholes with 40 series tire.)

If you go with a 40 series tire, Id say get a shop to mount them. I work at a dealership and I had me an a friend working HARD to get them on. But they do look sexy. But most tire shops have mroe special tools then our dealership does for tires. we do stock tires (185-65-14) usually.

oh yea Id say even with a 45 series Id run a different rim in winter, if you HAVE a winter. my paradas are CRAP in snow/ice. they are OK in wet, but real good in dry at hooking up traction.
my 16-8 rota circuits are 40 offset i believe, and I dont rub on lowered D2 Racing coilovers.

hope this help in the least.

Get the 40 offset for sure, if you don't want hassles with rubbing. A 25 offset wouldn't even be possible on an EF without serious modification of the fenders.

Personally, I'd go for the 205/45/16 tire. To me, the 40 series typically look a little TOO "low-pro". The 45 will help fill up the wheel well a bit more, and keep you from having to lower the car more than is really necessary.
