Check the block stamp first, that will tell you what engine it is, may be a D16.

That's not the block stamp that's just the ID tag. Look at your block in the front of the car, to the left of your header, where the transmission and engine mate. Let me ask this as well, is there something wrong with your car? I don't quite understand the "problem" that you're curious about happening in the future. Your motor set-up may be a "mini-me", which is a D15 block with a D16 VTEC head. I'm guessing you didn't buy the motor or put it in... did you buy from somebody else? If so, why not ask them what the engine setup is? Just my $.02.

well,at first i had problems with my car when i first bought it, i dont know some seal was not "sealed"properly, it was sealed with silicone and oil was leaking and somehow got on my T-belt,and well i took it to a mechanic,he said i had 2 differentials that are converted, (duhhh) as i already known my valve cover is off a D16Y7 non vtec, the guy said it was the full head as in D16Y7 head on a D15B2,well i took it to someother mechanic and he replaced the cam gear with a D15B7 one,and i have no problems at all now, also mechanic A said that the timing belt is not going to last long beacause they have different compression ratio's. so this is a Mini me swap right? juss curious....thanks

Mechanic A knows nothing about Hondas. I recommend not going to him anymore.
