Default Oily Spark Plugs

Car wont start but the starter and battery both seem fine. Well after getting back from the store using my bike. I decided to try it again because sometimes the car doesnt like to start in the heat. Well it still doesnt start and it also wont kick start. Well finally I decided to check the spark plugs cause maybe it wasnt getting fuel. Well ooking at the 1st plug, its completly covered in oil and also is the plug hole. So I check the other 3 and same thing.

Is this because of a leakly gasket around the spark plug holes and valve cover?? Will replacing the gaskets?

If the plug wire ends are oily too, should I go ahead and replace those?

Nope I never touch anything unless something is broke. The plugs were drenched in oil. Im going to pick up some new plugs just to try that.

There were a couple of occasions where I thought it was going to start but it just would just die instead. Wouldnt respond to the throttle.

you said you don't touch anything unless its "broke". obviously, something, that you're remarkably unaware of, isn't functioning properly. your spark plugs being drenched in oil sucks, but a quick question.. why didn't it used to start in the heat?.. that's generally a sign like... maybe you should have it looked at, because you obviously don't know what you're doing in terms of fixing it yourself.

haha ok yea. It would eventually start after letting it sit for awhile. Im not sure why but never really cared because the thing is dead on reliable other than when it gets hot out. Only takes a couple of minutes of letting it sit to fix the problem. I dont mess around with my car unless something breaks on it that is hindering me from driving it. I looked into the problem but since I know its only intermittent, I just didnt give a hoot and kept racking up miles.

I know how to work on cars, this isnt my first one.

Sounds like the main relay, that's a huge problem with the older honda's around the early 90's late 80's, my civic has the same problem, just haven't fixed it yet. When the car heats up, the solder in the main relay is the part at fault, so won't let u start ur car till it cools down.

Lol, if u wern't getting fuel u should check fuel related components.

That's the thing. It starts fine after driving for awhile and its still warm. I don't have to let it cool down. It has problems after being parked and everything is cooled down but its hot outside.

I pulled the plugs to see if there was fuel on the plugs and whether or not it was sparking.
