90 civic dx backfires when i turn key wont start?!?!?!?!
so i was driving and the car stalled. When i pulled over and tried to restart it it backfires and wont start.
The engine tries to turn over. I thought maybe clogged catalyitic converter but removed it and it still backfires. Checked the distributor and it still does it.
Any suggestions as to what it may be and if its an easy fix? If not i think im just going to part it out.

so then since the screw wasnt gone its probably my fault for being a retard and changing the wires and plugs ect ect and not the distributor cap and rotor.
if its hella worn im guessing it will do the same thing.
I got it to start on the side of the highway but when i hit the gas it stalled out. maybe flooding the engine and stalling out when the rpms tried to go up
