Apexi WS 2 Raspy..
Hey guys, I have a 96 4DR LS and I recently bought an APExi WS 2 muffler only, because my old muffler got scrapped and it got a hole. I heard the sound clip for the WS 2 and its a really deep bassy sound which I like
, But when I got this welded on, at 1k-3k RPM its really bassy, then past 3k, it gets really raspy and ricey.
When I looked at my undercarriage, I realized I didnt have a resonator. If you actually buy the full Apexi WS2 Exhaust, the catback piping has a resenator.
My question is, how would I get rid of that raspy noise past 3k. Add a resonator? and how much. OR if anyone has a APexi WS2 and knows please let me know.
Thanks

Yes add a resonator.
Either that or a gutted cat or no cat will also do the same thing, make raspy.
Get one resonator, and if thats not enuf simply go back and have another put on.
1 will make a great diffrence however.

i totally agree! if you want a deep throaty sound, you need to keep a cat and resonator. otherwise you get the ricey raspy noise

Check out the sponsor kteller, http://www.kteller.com They sell resonators and ship things out fast. I ordered a muffler from them last monday and the next day it was at my door.
