Y1 LSD help
So my motor has this tranny but it grinds in 5th why? is it the syncros? to shift into 5th I have to wait till the rpms drop to 3000 to shift with no grind. I have some royal purple 10w 30 but still. what can I do? I have a stage 2 ACT clutch. is there something I don't know that I have to do with the clutch. The motor is in a 4dr and with a CRX B16 linkage. IS that a prob too? or no.. help thanks

This above, does miracles, try it, it's about 6 bucks a quart, you'll need 2 quarts or just fill up til it leaks out of the hole. Worked for me

Y1 trannies are know for gringing problems from worn syncro's.
If interested in investing a few bucks (well worth it in the long term), Gearspeed sells sets of brand new upgraded syncro's for that application that will make it better than new.
