Just got done taking my tint off!! W000ttt!!!! Any suggested products to remove the adhesive? It only took me about 10 minutes to do the whole car lol

Edit: Bolo already told me to use goo gone, but looking for other ideas too

 

you are still gay. i say try whatever you use to clean the dishes to remove the adhesive.

maybe acetone? paint thinner? nail polish remover? and like already suggested, goo gone will be your best bet.

edit: maybe try 409 with an SOS pad or steel wool. people say the wool WILL NOT scratch your window. or try lots of windex and steel wool. oh yea, a lot of elbow grease.

yup, the one time i helped a friend take of window tint, we got the adhesive off with some windex and also lotsa liquid dish detergent and a sponge!

 

like i also said, i think strong alcohol works too, see if you cant get brian to part with some of his

 

lacquer thinner you foo.

LMAO, It took about 30 minutes to do one window with goo gone. I think aircraft stripper will do wonders lol

 

carburator cleaners will work the best. thats what i used. becareful to not get it on your paint.

steam. I used my moms old iron and just steamed my windows and it all peeled off in one easy go i didn't have to take off tint then adhesive.

I say old iron because she made me buy her a new one.

This is the easiest way to do it.

 

Get one of these:



It's easier than an iron.

 

just get a spray bottle with some soapy water and some paper towels. spray the hell out of the window and wait like a minute to let it soak in it'll come right off when you wipe it. Then use some windex to clean it up. Stay in a shady spot too so the sun doesn't keep the window hot.

 

get some **** called Oops..takes it right off

 

Laquer thinner will work the best/fastest.

 

Razorblade and water FTW!!!

 

All you gotta do is a use windex and a nice new sharp razor..

 

soak the windows with windex and scrap the goo off with a razor blade. I wouldnt screw around with the rear window though.

 

a friend of mine works for a tint, graphic, shop and we took the tint off my window in less that an hour all you need is a sunny day, razor,moist rag and those big black garbage bags and tape, moistin the tint then apply the bag, and thentaped it air tight......go back half 2 an hour later and use a razor blade in one corner and it should come off like a charm with no adhesive left over

i used engine cleaner on a sticker, it worked pretty good

acetone works well too
