Hello everyone i am new to this forum and looking to buy a itr. I found one so far within my price range and was wondering if anyone could help determine any problems. The vin i have is JH4DC2316YS005162 thanks in advance.
Welcome. Do you have a link to a for sale ad with pics and more information? I'll see if there are any visual clues that something is out of place, or looking right.

I found the car at http://www.cars.com its at a dealer in Virginia called New start Auto and its the Phoenix yellow color about 68xxx miles on it. Thanks for the nice welcome and quick response.
Is this the same car? https://honda-tech.com/zerothread/1732619
edit: yep, here's the ad http://www.cars.com/go/search/...=true

From looking at the pics:
- the amber corner lights have been replaced with clear ones
- I think the ITR decal on the left quarterpanel looks wrong; too close to the wheel (see the other thread I linked to; the thread starter saw the car)
- looks like it has slotted brake rotors
- the interior looks really straight, although the pics are blurry
- engine bay looks good & clean, but note the non-OEM plug wires.. not a big deal, but not necessary and if there's an ignition problem later, that's the place to start IMO
- the engine bay shot isn't wide enough to show if the VIN tags are on the fenders
Looks to be in pretty good condition, with a few blemishes on the paint & body. Those aren't a show stopper, but I'd want to know about that quarterpanel.. maybe you already know about it though.

Wow thanks for the info that is def the car which i talked about. Yea looks like the car has been thru something nothing serious i hope cuz im really intrested in this car. I have to say thanks for all your help you have been great. If someone were to inspect this car what would they be looking for to make sure it authentic.I meant was what should i look for on signs of abuse? thanks in advance
You're welcome. I like helping people who ask nicely and are appreciative.
Check this thread for ideas of things to look for: https://honda-tech.com/zerothread/1729947
As for the dent on the hatch and the little paint scrapes on the bumpers, that's nothing at all, that kind of stuff happens. Something more serious like a panel replacement isn't a big deal if done right. It's getting harder to find them in mint condition, and it looks like this one was cared for, just may have had an incident before.

Thanks for the link 330R and i wanted a stock-R overall this being one of those few out there. I might as well come out and say it i will 90% sure be the next owner of this car as my dear friend typer_696 stated on a spotting thread. I will hopefully be getting this car real soon. I will put work into it and try to fix the blemishes. Thanks for everything so far.
Awesome. Good luck on the purchase.
Stock is definitely what I'd shop for, too.
typer_696 will look out for ya; he's helped Florida members who have been victim of theft, good guy.
