i just bought the cams, and valve springs/ T.I. retianers from Brian Crower and they where only roughly 800 bucks, i think that cams alone where $407. they have to be good cams. brian crower went off from crower to make his own **** but im not too sure how much power they make yet. still finishing my motor

I am running Toda C's. They are a great cam and among the highest quality on the market. But I have heard great things about crower and rocket as well. Check into them and see what you like really.

What valve train are you running?

I have a head job too as well as a bunch of other things .. I went with JUN3 cams. They may not be the cheapest but the are worth every penny. They idle 100% like stock and made me 206whp .. I wouldn't go with anything else.

I'm curious about the Buddy Club spec IV's. I haven't heard anything bad about them, and the price seems pretty reasonable.

Are the blox cams shitty? I haven't heard any feedback on those yet, either.

The Pro3's are way too big for a 1.8L with less than 13.5-14:1 compression.

I would recommend the M22X (or M22XX), Skunk2 Pro2 or Buddy Club 4. We have seen great results with these cams on builds. The Pro2's will yield the best midrange of the three listed above.

Agreed, for a mild 1.8L, the M22XX seems to be one of the best on the market.

Here is a Dyno of the M22X

Ebay short ram intake w/velocity stack
2.5" crush bent piping (easily more power with mandrel bends)

If he used the DTR StreetSweeper he would have made 5-8more whp, and wouldn't have the dip between 6-7k.

That was on the RM valvetrain as well with Golden Eagle cam gears.

Bone stock JDM ITR motor other than that.

Spent a while tuning these, baselined in the 180's.
