Hey. Im helping my friend do his lsvtec in his 89 crx si since ive already done it in my 91 civic si. But my car already had a b16 in it so so all I had to do was switch out the block. He is doing the whole shabang. But he doesnt know if he will be able to use his d series tranny bolts with his b series tranny. Any ideas?

 

u have to get a b series tranny to run a LS block... no b series trannys fit on d series motor or visversa(sp??)

 

i must not have been clear. He is putting an ls tranny on his ls block. But he doesnt have b series tranny bolts. Can he use D series tranny bolts for this.

 

o0o **** my bad lol.. i like read threw the post fast lol.... umm i guess just get ur d series bolts and then put them threw the b series tranny and see if there long enought and if u think they are then go for it.. also just try hand threading them into the block... but im not sure if they will fit

 

yes they will work. ive used d series bolts on a b series swap no problem.
