Default melted spark plug wires.

alright well i got my car back from the shop today. the timing belt was stretched to hell. so i got that redone. and the only cel was my air intake(short ram). umm otehr than that. the only problem is. the engine gets really hot. could this be because it was sitting around in a salvage yard for so long and is burning off old oil? or what. ... the part of the plug wire that sticks in the head. melted. and part of it meleted to my plugs. i need to know if thats because lack of oil, coolant, or just the old oil getting really hot.

check your coolant. if there is none, and your motor got hot enough to melt your wires, then sell your car and buy a new one.

no seriously, are you low on any fluids? go check

is it knocking? i wouldnt even ben starting the car up without making sure there is enough oil. Is your temp guage shooting up? need more info..... if your temp guage is shooting up, check for a stuck thermostat, heater core, or ...make sure there is even enough coolant.
