anyone know how much smog tests run and if they are just walk-ins? after i get my results do i just send it in the dmv or something?

 

Just walk up, and i titnk the price is 65 dollars. Once you pass the DMV will already know.

 

Assuming you're in CA, smog checks are around $30-$60, depending on the shop you go to. Other than state referees, smog check stations welcome walk-ins.

When you pass, the technician electronically sends the information to the DMV for around $8, so you don't have to mail in your results.

 

er i dont mean to be **** about this ****...but just in case somebody wanted to know...it costs $1.75 to send the info to the state and the certificate is $8.25
