My HU recently stopped ejecting cds (the cd thats stuck in there is DPG's cali iz active, which sucks BTW) and i was wondering if any of you have encountered this problem. its still under warranty from best buy but if i take that route who knows how long id have to wait to get it back. since i installed it myself i need to take out the HU and bring it to their service dept. and they'll either fix it or replace it with a new HU.

the face is motorized so i checked to see if the tilt function still works and it doesnt. so im guessing its the motor...does anyone have any input?

 

Disconnect the batt. neg. (-) terminal, wait a few sec. and reconnect, the HU should "initialize", [place CD transport in "ready for CD" or ejected mode], the problem may just be a processing error, and as long as there is nothing wrong with the HU, "rebooting" it should fix the problem.

There is also a "reset" switch, just above the "Rotary encoder" small, ballpoint pen size" inset push button switch, have you tryed it yet? 94

 

I'd bring it back in since its under warranty and tell them to clean it while they're at it. Tweeters is usually about 2 weeks, don't know about best buy...

 

bestbuy will be about the same.. 2 weeks usually at most.. (ex-bestbuy senior installer) hehe..
