Default Smart move?

Alright, right now I have an automatic Honda Civic LX (taffey white) with 5,032 miles on it. I've lately really been having an Si itch. I've never driven stick before, so that is what turned me off with the Si from the beginning. However, with all these video's I'm seeing, and how nice the FG2 looks and sounds, I really wish I bought it from the start. Would it be just dumb to trade it in now for an Si. I have a feeling I would really be losing out on a lot of money.

Aparently from Kelly blue book, I can get 17,275 for my car.

Yes trade it in right away and get on the list for an 07 si the si is 10 times better in every way so what if it's stick i will be learning how to drive stick on it as well. I know you can find a si 07 for no more then $24,000 tax included depending on where you live if you trade your car in you have now that only leaves about $7,000 to finance if i were you i would get on top of this Good Luck.

Well, now according to one of the dealerships in my area, I would only get between $13,775 - $15,250.

So I would be losing out on 2k.

2k is nothing on a finance. DO IT!! You need a K series in your life.

But does he need to go into debt for him to be able to do it? NO!!! Debt is stupid. Think of how rich you could be if you had NO BILLS to pay! Buying a new car and trading it in less than a year late is ridiculous.

He owes money on that car, the dealership will NOT give him what he owes more than likely. And he will still be paying for that LX if he does buy the Si.

Stick with what you got, unless you got alot of cash to front to offset the difference in the cars value, and what you owe on it.

^ I'm with him
Don't get in debt just because u like the way it sounds or someone says you have to do it because u will like it in every way possible...
besides:
LX: regular giving u 40 estimated mpg
Si: Premium giving u 30 estimated mpg
Insurance will be more
etc
think before buying a car

Right on!! That is the exact reason I will stick to my LX sedan for at least 4 yrs. By then I will be able to afford what I want. Debt sucks donkey nuts. Don't get into it. Been there, it is not fun

Why don't you just save money and drop a K20 into your civic... or a K24 from the TSX... Then youd have a lighter-than-SI coupe with a bad *** motor.

Don't **** away your cash. First off you don't know how to drive stick so; More than likely, you will expletive up your poor more expensive Si. By the way your bank owns you for 2k.

Just because, something looks all nice, shiny and pretty doesn't mean that you are ready for it. I would never own an Si as a first manual tranny car. You need to learn first on something that you don't mind abusing. Not a brand new car. You will appreciate it more later on, TRUST ME ON THIS!

Carmax may give you a better quote. At least they will give you a definent amount. The dealership will manipulate the numbers of your trade either way.
