and no the kick stand is not down . it doesn't die all the time but it died on me once going to work today and also coming back from work last friday. anyone have a clue what my problem could be?

 

are you sure you are not running too low on gas?

 

well on friday i was pretty low, but today in the morning i topped my bike off. and it happened after i left the gas station.

 

Was the engine still very cold? My 600rr does that sometimes if I just jump on and take off.

coming to a slow roll...and the bike was warmed up

 

Dude I ve had this problem on my 05 R6. I was fast approaching 12,000 miles though and after I replaced the plugs and re-synced the TBs it never happened again. I did read some posts on R6messagenet regarding a potential warranty issue with our model year and that problem though. I would find links but its 5:00 PM on friday and I am sooooo out of here!

 

03-05 R6 have some problems with just shutting down. very rare and only a few have had that problem. check out the r6 forums, theres a thread on that. some people have had that problem.

 

i had problems with my 06 gsxr600 cutting off. It did it about 8 times but hasn't done it in the last 3 to 4 thousand miles so i've almost forgot about it. I never did find out what it was

 

sounds to me like when your slowing down and hitting the brake you might be hitting the kickstand switch which is under the same side.check the wiring and see if that does it!
