I'm heading out to load up the car and get on the road. Lets hope for some great weather, great racing, and fun in the paddock.

I should be up there Sunday to check out the scene. Going to pick up my future ITA/H4 car tomorrow.

Interesting watching the racing on Sunday. H1 is very fast these days.

How the hell did the TSX with Motons end up in Stinger?

i know, george, that was rediculous! a Grand Am fully prepped TSX in with the Stinger guys (HC1 was running with Thunder, remember). they definitely should have run the TSX with Thunder (and could have figured out its correct weight as an H1 car with the Motons and special cage, etc).

the TSX in with us in Stinger; how could that even be fun to race? he was almost 3 secs faster than the next fastest car, which was Whittacker in H2; (i'd say the "average" pace in Stinger this weekend was around 1:33-1:34 or so -- and the TSX was running 1:25 flat.... after the first 30 seconds, could he even see anyone in his rearview?

i was hanging out after the race up at the grid (where his 18 wheeler was parked) and heard his crew say to the driver "good race, man! good race!"

i just had to smile and shake my head; what is that? like when Gulliver stomped down all the Lilliputians?

I doubt they were there to even race. I would guess that Tom just wanted to test a motor.

He was leading at Daytona in GAC with a half hour to go when one of the Turner cars hit him from behind. He and Neal Sapp were running together. I doubt that had the Grand Am Cup motor in it. We had that car with a fully prepped GAC motor on our dyno and while I don't want to divulge information, it's more than an H1 car is making.

Ahh, that explains it. Chris wanted him to be able to run both cars.

Of course, I never even noticed the BMW.

This is correct. Tom had 2 cars there and had the Bimmer in GTS and the Acura was actually in it's own class but not competing with anyone at all.

It does seem slightly too serious sometimes.
