i got a few ideas, don't get one.

He is new to the ITR community, just got his ITR and should know this stuff. Everyone is always quick to throw the "go search yourself" clause. Anti-theft technology changes all the time, and a thread from last year might not warrant a solution.

I honestly have some dope idea which kinda work.. BUT it can get ugly if you lost your remote.
Tegs should be same or simular with EK on door construction/design, I pull off the connecting rods and make the key lock un-useable, so basically.. you can only open the door with your remote control. hooks and **** wont do any good as the rods are gone.
the shitty thing is my remotes battery dies once and i have to run a couple block to get a damn battery, also you have to be aware the battery IN the car might die as well, and you will have to break a glass...
dont know if this helps..

One thing will never change though, and that's the fact that a thief will get your car if he really wants it enough.
Only drive the car on the track and don't ever drive the car on the street and you'll never have to worry about it. This has worked well for me for almost 7 years now.

Insure it, enjoy it, get a decent alarm, don't leave it anywhere stupid, hope for the best. You can lose your mind worrying about it all the time.
take said ITR
drive it to the middle of the Appalachian mountains
find an abandoned cave
park itr in said abandoned cave
detonate the entrance of cave causing collapse
seal cave exterior with solid copper.
perfect ITR anti-theft solution.

i cant believe itr theft is so bad over there, dont get me wrong we have our problems here too but generally it's newer more expensive cars that are targeted, i put a clifford alarm on mine which so far has made it more hassle than its worth (touch wood)
i never have to give it a 2nd thoght after that,park/drive anywhere, you have my sympathies

secret switches. if they cant start it, they cant drive it away. then park it at obscure angles and tight confined spaces. park horizontally in your driveway, or somewhere a tow truck cant fit. if they are going to tow it, atleast make it difficult.
This is exactly the place we wouldn't want to talk about "the perfect anti theft device". Unless it was so perfect thieves couldn't break through it
Ed... very well said. When i bought my car in Atlanta last year Len said something to me i haven't forgotten. That was that you simply can't worry about it, or it will get the best of you. Right now there are those worrying that no matter what they do their time is coming.
I could be next, you could be next. You never know who is watching or even following you for that matter. Enjoy the car while you have it, bc honestly you really don't know how long you will have it.

Jon, you're actually saying it like it should be:
compare it to computer security: there is no security through obscurity. Eventually all faults can and most likely will be found. If you can make something so secure that it doesn't matter who knows how it works, it's un-undoable, it should be safe.
Unfortunately, it just doesn't work that way, as with computers it's normally meant on a network without physical access. something that doesn't go for cars.

C4 with proximity sensor, a good defense lawyer and insurance (in case of an accident), and the mindset that 'if i can't have it, no one can.'
