Default DSM vs RC injectors

I need bigger injectors and will be selling my RC 310's if anyone is interested BTW. haha.

A buddy of mine whos helping me rebuild my head is telling me to save money and get DSM 450 Peak and hold injectors instead of the RC.

I am not familiar with these injectors really. Everyone think it would be a smart move? Cuase the RC 440's are like $350 and the DSM's are like $100

With the DSM 450s you'd need to wire in a resistor box, which you can easily get for cheap off of the older civics and crxs. Besides that... I think you'd prolly want them cleaned. You could prolly find them even cheaper than $100 too...

Bump, Im interested in this question too. Besides the resistor box, the problem I keep hearing about is that they idle very horribly. Can anyone with DSM injectors confirm this?

I know someone selling RC 370's. Practically brand new. Used them for a couple miles and then took them out to go FI and put them right back in the box. Still has the flow sheet with them. I can ask him how much he wants for them in you are interested.

Stick to RCs, dont skimp on injectors if you are concerned with your idle. Plus you wont have to run the resistor. Not only that, but the stock Honda resistor box doesnt work as well as the FJO driver box for P/H injectors. Dont get me wrong, it will work, but not as well as the FJO.

I just found a shop on EBAY recently selling RC's for ridiculously cheap. I got a set of injectors for over $100 cheaper than other places. They are selling 440s for $285 with free shipping, so if you need something smaller Im sure it will be around $250. I dont see 370s listed but Im sure they can get them.

injector flow rate is not all you should be concerned with, but also spray pattern. go with injectors designed for your honda.

thanks bro. I will probably go ahead and order from them while that deal is still there. I am thinking 370's would be big enough, but just in case I ever do more mods I will get the 440's now. Good looking out man!

^ can anyone else verify that? I had bought DSM 450 blue tops a few months ago to use. (they're the single-spray tye, not the dual) If that's true I'm gonna have to sell them & buy some RC's. dammit.

Been there done that....

Motor mysteriously went boom....the logs and bad memory recall all of the above mentioned symptoms....

For every case like ours, there are probably 100 successful cases of using DSM injectors.... you gotta ask yourself if it's worth the risk I guess.

you also have to grind out or dremel out your stock grommets/o rings for the dsm to fit in the stock grommet on the base of your manifold
