The white dots on the teeth point up and the lines on the teeth point toward each other.
It's a damn shame you're "building your head" with nothing more than Skunk2 Stage 1 camshafts. What a ******* waste. Might as well have gotten OEM Type-R or CTR cams and left the valvetrain alone.

Torque spec is 27 foot pounds, but more won't hurt anything as long as it's not more than 60

Assembly lube. You can get some at any autoparts store.

May i ask WHY you are installing the cams, cam caps, and rails? You have to take it all back out to put the head on the block. The head bolts are under the cams.....
well im sorry for not saying thanks Archidictus this one is to you THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THE GREAT INFO it really did help a lot.
as for why im puting on the caps and rails, i just wanted to make sure eveything was gonna spin right before i put it on the block.

1.) your cams are not aligned correctly. The DOTS face up and the LINES face each other level with the deck surface of the head.
2.) the small cam cap bolts are torqued to 7.2 ft/lbs and the bigger ones to 20 ft/lbs. Apply oil to threads before torquing.
EDIT:
3.) the cam cap plates are interchangable
4.) unless you're going to take pretty pictures, I'm not sure why you're assembling all this before it's on the car

Good luck with that. You'll only be able to spin them with a ratchet and one at a time at that.
