Default Honest Question: How does Amuse Achive the "Burnt" looks on there products?

I don't want some bullshit, smart *** answer to this.

I was curious, I have an Apexi N1 Turbo Muffler and I want to achieve the same "burnt" effect through out the whole canister, just as Amuse does. And I was curious to know if anyone had any home grown ideas of how to achieve this look on the muffler, I.E heating it up a certain way, etc.

So if someone could answer this question, maybe someone with alittle experience in this, that would be great.

Thanks,

Justin

many metals turn a certain color as a certain temperature, no just titanium. but yes, the amuse is titanium.

Go to Home Depot or wherever and get a Mapp gas torch and burn the tip. Put the flame to it until it glows red hot...then it will be blue. i did it to my stock exhaust

Not sure how that would look on wheels, but on exhausts it is right at home.

Stick it in the fire pit while you're camping and roasting marshmallows.

You can achieve the same style look on a new SS header by coating it with WD40 and then heating it up a good amount...try it out

the wheels i dea. volk had a way to do it. but i don't suggest you go out and super-heat your wheels. thats like powder coating them. they will break.

Please don't do this on wheels, it will modify the alloy's microstructure wich change it's mechanical properties and you don't want that unless you've made some research and you're sure the properties will change for better, that would definetly impress me...
