I have a 93 ls motor with a 90 s1 tranny ... the intermediate shaft is from the 93 motor. I can't get the damn shaft in the tranny it wont go in the whole way we tried everything... Also does the thing that the VSS is connected to have anything to do with it b/c i tightened the bolt before and the axles wont turn and when i loosen the bolt the axles turn and the shaft went in furthur but not the whole way and it wont go any furthur also when i took the shaft out of the 93 tranny it was hard at hell it take out.. so is it normal for it to be hard to put in and take out or is there something wrong with it. what do i do with the thing above the tranny that the VSS is connected to how tight do i make that ?

 

alright well does anyone know if intermediate shafts are suppost to be hard to put in?

 

It can be a real bitch to get in due to the retaining clip. Have you checked the size/spline and made sure they are the same. I know the clutch is different, Im not sure about the half shaft though,.
