Default NGK copper spark plugs vs. platnium NGK

time for new plugs, and I was thinking I could just get the copper ones, and instead of spending the $50 once a year, spend $5 every 2 months or so.

anyone else use copper plugs? are they good for the H22, as long as you switch them out within a reasonable time?

Well, the platinums that come stock in a 5th gen aren't supposed to be replaced before the 105K service according to the manual - I had always been under the impression that coppers would go a solid 12-15K miles between changes...

hmm ok, didn't know that.

also, honda claims that the brakes will last 100,000 miles..... mine got somewhat close to that but didn't quite make it

so... its ok to run copper in the H22

As far as I know - I ran them for a while, as did several other folks from PVN-G5 w/ no reported ill effects. Just change them at appropriate intervals...

MmmMmm...Coppers.........

I have used ngk coppers for years and have had not a single problem with them. They will last a year no problem, and cost a lot less too!

I guess there are a lot of different impressions on plugs, so that was mine.
