Trunk leak (not from taillight gasket)
Hey Ive had a leak in my trunk ever since ive had my car. It's a 94 Civic Ferio. From inspection the leak does not come from the taillight gasket. It comes from where there is body sealant near the taillights. I have taken the taillights off and I cant see where it would enter the car. Could it be from the rear window? Another person here has the same problem on his coupe as well.
Here is a pic to show where the leak is coming from

Here is how to fix.
First off do you have a rear spoiler? If so it could be that.
Second....Crawl in the trunk and have someone run a water hose over it and look for the leak.

My car is a JDM EG9 Ferio so yes it has a factory spoiler. Its not coming from the spoiler as i had the trunk open when I poured water down the rear window when the leak showed. Ive got a funny feeling its leaking where the rear window seal is or actually where the seam is but I cant see how the water would go through the factory sealant as there doesnt appear to be any cracks.
Its kinda hard to inspect the leak as I have the JDM EG9 rear seats so they cant just fold down, have to unbolt them lol.

Well get the tools or enjoy the leak. Make it a waterfall like pimp my ride.

Car does not have a sunroof and taillight gasket is all siliconed up. I find it perplexing that water can leak through the factory sealant when there are no obvious signs of cracks.
