i just bought an rs*r header for my ls/vtec thats going in my civic but it has no o2 sensor bung so im gona go into the nut/bolt draw at work tomorrow and pick up a stainless steel nut with the same thread on it and weld it onto the header

where is the best spot to weld it on the collector of the header left side, right side, top, bottom of the collector or is it better on one of the runners?

i would put it on the runner for the number 3 cylinder. half way from where it merges with the other cylinder and the head.

 

Hit up a muffeler shop, they should have the O2 bung. It will be easier, besides you can also hit them up for any suggestions.

 

yea but where can i put it that will be outa the way where the o2 sensor wont hit anything but i can still get to it if it goes bad

 

if anyone has welded on there own bung pics would be great
