Default Omni Front and rear LCA's.....

Alright i spoke to Omniman, he said if we can get 100 people together that are interested he will make Front and rear LCa's. They weigh in around 8lbs, they will be made out of certified 2014- T6 aluminum. So please if anyone is interested, especially those that race we need 100 so let me know, thanks.

he basically slapped you in the face and gave you a number that would never be achieved.

Ahahahaha! Yeah, he knows that will never happen...probably couldn't even get 10 committed, non-flaky people.

It'll happen eventually, it just takes longer to get stuff for Preludes. There was talk and pre-orders and such for traction bars for years before anyone actually built and sold one. Same with motor mounts, Skunk 2 intake manifold, H23 cams, etc...

price will be in the 400's for the FLCA, i'm guessing.

I'm also not convinced that aluminum would be strong enough to be used in the FLCA.

but that's just my opinion.

personally, i think there are better (and cheaper) places to lose weight. the LCA's are pretty much the lowest point on the car--though it'd be a fairly large reduction in unsprung weight.

still, it's gonna cost you money, and you'll never hit 100

i agree with this. hondas tiny *** LCA's bend easy enough as it is, let alone if you make them outta aluminum. i can see flexing and alignment problems down the road with those.

i'd be more interested aluminum brake calipers, UCA's (with adjustable camber), and some aluminum adjustable radius rods (for caster adjustment).

I know rear ones go for around 110 on a civic. I had some on my civic. I liked them I guess.

I am game, but there arent 100 people in the prelude forum, I doubt u will get 100 people to go for this.

wow is that ever a good price! Honda here wants $220 per caliper for a 5th gen and they're not even new, they are rebuilt ones as Honda doesn't make calipers for 5th gens anymore.

Would these fit a 5th gen?

220 per caliper!!!

you can get remanufactured ones that are oem spec for like 77 bux each side. i think they were called neo gen or something like that. got them from import replacement parts and work just fine.

as far as fastbrakes. its a little extreme for everyday driving unless you want the bling

Yeah, it's not like I need brakes like that but if they cost the same as the oem replacements then I might as well get them

But I don't need something that extreme. Where did you get these "Neo Gen" calipers? Are these parts from Honda or are they re manufactured Honda calipers from another company? I don't want to have to pay 220 per caliper from Honda, its just ridiculous and my front calipers are not grabbing much of th rotors anymore so I need to get something soon.
