Going from LS/Vtec to LS/Non-Vtec questions.
So I have an LS/Vtec in my 96 Civic coupe and was planning on doing a complete swap with a stock LS motor. Unfortunately, the guy who owned the car and supposedly "built" the motor used all these different wires for the harness.
My question is:
Is there a way to revert back to a non-vtec LS motor?
I know that I need to take off my vtec head and put back on a stock LS head but I'm sure it won't be as simple as that. Any help or input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

just plug the oil line on the block that used to go to the head and use the same wiring harness...just dont plug in the vtec...the harness will work just like an ls harness. change the ecu to an ls ecu though
Thanks for the help.
Now, how do I determine what OBD I have? The plugs that go into the ECU are gray but then I see that there's a jumper harness. The stamp on my bhead says, "PR-1" if that's any help. I wanna get the correct OBD if I do get a new head.

If i do get an OBD2 LS ecu, I should look for an OBD2 LS head as well? Sorry for so many questions. I just wanna do it right the first time.
Awesome, so I can just take off my B16 head and put on either an OBD1 or OBD2 LS head along with intake manifold (which can be OBD1 or OBD2?)

Doesn't matter the OBD on the head, but it does matter on the IM. I have an OBD2 LS ecu for sale if you need one (Really f'n cheap, I want this thing gone).
