I use xtravision no probs, I can't say any others are shitty.. since I only replaced my bulbs once, since I have bought it... I just have to aim them now

Yeah, I think the Xtravisions are higher quality. My Silverstars were great for about a month and then they faded really bad. Got Sylvania to give me a new set and the same thing happened. No more Sylvania Silverstars for me.

Yes, all of them are better than the Sylvania SilverStars from a performance standpoint. The Philips Vision Plus and the Osram SilverStar are as good as you will find among stock-wattage bulbs. I prefer the Vision Plus, as the tests I've read indicate it has a slight advantage over the Osram SilverStar, but both are excellent choices.

Bulbs sometimes sit differently in the mounting socket such as at a slight angle. Which will dramaticly change the light flow through your light housing, So usually after every bulb change you need to realign you headlights. Just replace them and set your car in front of a wall about 25 ft away for your low beams and 35 feet for high beams. Id say go to like wal-mart and do it on one of their walls or something.

as far as customer suppoert and everything...they're great
the customers on HT with them on their cars say they last for over a yr and are brighter than sylvania and phillips...almost like PIIA

If you're referring to the Sylvania SilverStars available at most auto parts stores here in North America, then you're misinformed. There are a number of bulbs that perform better, last longer, and are less expensive, three of which I listed in my previous post.

I heard good things about the PIAA bulb. Anyone have any comments on that one.
I too need to upgrade my headlights and dont want to shell out for the HID's.

spending 90+ dollars for PIAA that i willbe replacing every 6-12 months...
better go with a retro and HID kit which lasts way more than stock lights and there's more visibility...
But yeah PIAA is as closeo as you will ever get to HID...they're simply the best and no cheap bulb can go near its quality as them. But they're too damn expensive

unless your driving with your light during the day, they will most likely last longer than 6-12 months, and even then longer. i have polarg's H4H and i've had them on for a 1 1/2 year already and no problems.

92-00 models i dont think those have DRL(daytime running lights)
so during rainy days = lights on
Snow = lights on
dark sky during the day = lights on
Now add that to the night-time driving whereas your lights are on
oh yeah use regular voltage bulbs not those 100W...ull burn your wires...
keep it 55-65 low and high
