Default 89 accord no start

hello,
i have a 89 accord, and one day i was coming from work and the tranny kept grinding when i would put it in 5 gear. and then it would spit out the 5 gear so i wanted to know what was goin on. so i slowed down to a stop and then clutcheed in and out of all the gears and then i said ok. then absent mindedly i left the car in 5th gear and tried to take off but instead the car kinda stalled out and then it like turned off and never turn on again like it doesnt even get the motor turning over sound or nothing im lost on what it could be some one please help me out

p.s ummm when i pushed it down the hill and put it in secound the car started and shifted gears

Sounds like your battery took a dump. Have it tested along with your charging system to see what is going on.
