Default 2000 Si EM1 Rear Seats into 1996 Civic Coupe

I replaced my rear seats with 2000 Si. I noticed the bottom hooks are in different places. How do guys that swap rear seats modify them to stay put?

Can't you swap over the seat fabric onto the 96 foam?

Takes too much work and defeats the purpose of a "newer" seat.

Might try gluing it to the chassis, but that's a permanent thing.

I thought you just wanted the Si fabric pattern.

Personally I don't even like the Si fabric pattern. I got the front and rear set for a good deal and wanted to replace my old seats with new ones.

just move the hooks
or switch frames not like having a new seat has to have the new frame also..

What are you talking about? How do you move the hooks, they're fixed.

This is news to me. I thought all 96-00 coupe seats were direct bolt-ins? Si seats still have the same 60/40 split, and same interior dimensions as the other coupes. I've never tried swapping rear seats but never would have thought they were different.

Same back rest, but the bottom cushion has hooks in different places. It fits, it just doesn't hooks lined up to keep them in place.

move them as in cut them off move them to where they need to be and tack them back on
either way your going to have to do some fabrication isnt this the whole point of custom in the first place?

i just put 99 seats in my 96 over the weekend, i just bolted in the back bolt and didnt worry about the front hooks... it still holds really well since the side panels hold it in
