Default HotSHot header for hybrid swap.

so, im doing some research on headers. the header is going to be for my h22a civic.
hotshot makes a header for hybrid swaps. its designed only for civics with h22s. its a 4-1 equal length race only header. Features an 18" x 2-1/2" dia. straight open collector.

does anyone have this or heard anything about it? price is around 400.

Might want to search for it. It is not the best header like an RMF,DTR, SMSP ect but it is better than DC, megan ect...I have an AN-R header with the merge collector that I got a good deal on used. If I didn't come across it here locally I was going to look into RMF....

It's quite good. Too bad it doesn't fit Preludes...

hotshot is a good header, id recomend over megan and dc and anr, i hade it before, only prob wont fit the h22 chasis, its made for a h22 in a eg chasis, youl have to cut some crossmember to fit it, or get a traction bar, makes more power then greddy and megan tho

i'd ask in the "hybrid" forums as well, considering they dont make it to fit in the 'ludes.

I seen that header if not an exact copy in a issue of honda tuning a few months ago. They were testing high comp pistons and big cams on an h22 in a civic, that header made good power for them. I dont know what your motor plans are but that looks like a good choice. And like they said its much better than most headers out there, dc, megan, ect

i currently have this header in my ej1 h22, the only thing that i really dont like about it is that its a 2 piece, and when connected it is held by 2 bolts and leaks some exhaust fumes. i ended up welding it together, but if u weld it, the studs to connect the header to the head have to be removed because of fitment, and u have to use bolts.

Honestly, i have this header in my civic and it sucks hardcore... It sits right on the alternator, it is an immense pain in the *** to take in and out, oil pan clearance is nothing to write home about, the pieces where the header connects is starting to flake away and its left me with a slight exhaust leak and i dont think it makes great power. Do not buy this header, i think i am going to upgrade to the new camp1320 header...nothing but good reviews so far.
