Default officially confused...

ok this is a straight up NOOB question...i am so sorry...you can slap the back of my hand for shame...

im confused on what is the difference...
i know the TYPE R is JDM with a k20a
i know the TYPE S is the USDM with a k20a2/z1
what is the "iS"?...all this time i thought it meant "integra S"
am i wrong?

before 05 the JDM Integra Type S was the iS. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

Integra IS and TYPE S in Japan is equivalent to RSX Base in the U.S. There is no equivalent to the U.S. RSX Type S in Japan

k20a - itr
k20a2 - us and uk versions
k20a3 - rsx and si
k20z1 - '05-'06

right, the 02-04 Type-S was the k20a2, the 05-06 Type-S is the k20z1 in the US. UK actually have the ITR... lucky bastards.
