Well last week I was in a car accident. Damaged fender and mirror so I'm getting a $900 check hopefully tomorrow.

I fixed the mirror and the fender isn't a big deal to me. Both my fenders are messed up so I'm waiting to find a pair on ebay.

Anyways, I've got an f22a1 right now. Full exhuast with intake and other little mods. I'm wanting to do a swap real bad and I came across a certain motor.

It's a JDM H23 VTEC. To my understanding, these motors were JDM only and never USDM. The bottom end is complete but it needs some parts for the head. I.E. Cams, maybe valves, etc.

He was wanting $600 for it as it sits but I think I'm going to offer him $450 cash in hand.

Now is this a good deal? Also got a few questions..

Should it bolt right up? I've got an h23 header on my motor now, so all the exhuast components will bolt right up. I'm pretty sure it will work with the F22 tranny but I'd like to get a new tranny. Will it work with the axles in it now?

Can I use regular H23 parts? Like just plain H23 cams or would I have to somehow track now H23VTEC cams? Can I use the same dizzy, AC, cruise, power steering, etc.

One of my last questions... how the hell would I go about with an ECU on this thing? Would a H22 ECU work fine?

Did it come on JDM Accords? If so, that is an awesome motor and you should buy it. There's a guy around here who has one in his Accord.

 

They might of. I'm not sure I can't find much information about it. All I know is it's a beautiful motor and they are like 2100+ on JDM Engine sites.
