Default manual tensioner question

When I did the auto to manual tensioner swap on my hss motor do I use a h22 timing belt or h23 timing belt. The reason why I ask is because we completed the tensioner swap and used a h22 timing belt. Heres the problem the belt is super tight and was a real main in the *** to put on. Next problem is the belt is slipping away (off) the cam gears when we start the car meaning it is rubbing against th e valve cover and other parts. Can some one shed some light on this?

thanks

yea I did have the same problem, and everyone said to ditch the bracket, but I wouldn't if I were you. That little bracket adds alot of strength to the tensioner. What 2Ludes4You did seems like a great idea. I did something very similar.
