This guy has been trying to get 20k+ for his silver 98 JDM ITR that is titled and registered for some time now, but nothing solid has materialized yet.
i would say realistically you could ask $20k, and take the first offer of $17-18k.
maybe this is optimistic though, as I also own a JDM ITR (97 DB8) and there is no way in hell I would sell it for anything much less than $17-18k.

I personally think it's worth $1,000. Wanna sell it.
Anyways, at least $18,000. Seen 96 specs going for at least $20,000.

You guys are talking 20K USD arent you?
Dam man. JDM ITR's over in New Zealand are selling for as little as 10K when the sellers get desperate enough (thats NZD too)
I paid just over $15,000NZD for my 97 JDM ITR with the same mileage as the one listed above, bone stock, mint condition inside and out. 2 years ago.
What makes ITR's so expensive for you?
Remind me never to buy an ITR in the US

they're expensive because grey market cars aren't allowed in the US. it's a huge pain in the **** to even get the car into the country, registering it is even more of a hassle. they are extremely rare in the US, and most that are here are registered illegally due to VIN swaps w/ a USDM integra. I real registered JDM ITR is rare and hard to come by.
and to answer you question, i wouldn't sell mine for anything less than 20k registered...but good luck finding someone to pay that amount. i haven't been able to.

JDM ITRs have plummeted in price here in ireland also in the last 12 months or so, you can now pick up a 96spec for less than $9000 and chances are it'll have a load of JDM fitted extras on it too. The cheapest 98spec can be bought for approx $11k but 98specs generally make $12-14k depending on condition/mileage etc etc

i would have to agree with trying 20k but realistically 17-18k is do-able. just out of curiosity but how much would u sell it for without the wheels?

Wow..beautiful car. If I were buying I'd say throw on the stock spoiler and leave the rims, I haven't seen any others like them to my knowledge.
$18K or more is reasonable I think

the thing you need to remember is that you usually can't walk into a bank and get a loan on a JDM car. if a buyer can't get a loan, that would mean he/she would have to front the purchase price in cash, and how many honda owners do you know that have $18k in cash they could throw down like that?
if an interested buyer does want your car, they may find a bank that will finance the car, but the bank will only finance what the USDM equivalent is, in this case a 1998 Acura Integra Type R. High retail on your car according to NADAguides.com is less than $12k (even with the low mileage). That may make it easier for a buyer, but they would still have to come up with $6k.
now don't think i'm trying to rain on your parade as I am in a similar situation with my JDM ITR sedan. I would want a pretty penny before I ever considered selling it. I'm just trying to clue you into the reality of the situation.

i think just as long as the car is registered and titled, a potential buyer could get a loan from a bank for said vehicle.

You are very correct......I bought for cash outright. Even though its registered and titled its still a gray market car. Theres no way for a bank to set a value. Thats why I was looking for a cash and trade deal. Not to many honda guy have 18K to blow on a car, its usually in the one they own.

good luck selling the car, 18-20k is what I would ask but it's tough to find a willing buyer. Most banks wouldn't give you a loan for 18k if the car isn't worth it in blue book value. I was interested in a usdm 98 itr with lots of jdm goodies and the bank said it was only worth 12g's, the extra's aren't worth anything to the bank.
