I see a lot of people with either spoon or spoon knock off spoilers on their hatches. Do you get grief from safety inspection houses for not having the 3rd brake light?

How about with cops?

Also, does anyone know of a company that makes the same type of spoiler, but that has the 3rd light?

If your car was originally equipped with one, you do.

Most states do require. Depends on the state and the place you get inspected at.

 

ive been a state inspector in the state of tx for 3 years and no u dont have to have one HERE

 

he lives in UT so why would you give him false information? i dont know about the southern states but in the NE you need 3 brake lights whether its with a spoiler or the stock light
