haha buy it back homie. or hit up people that are selling the whole catback and make them an offer they can't refuse, just be like it'll save you money on shipping.

just get the es oval or a magnaflow, those are both quiet enough, and the es oval is a straight through design, not chambered like the ws

well here is your first problem......the muffler for the most part is only going to determine how loud your system is.

if you want to change the pitch you will need to look into resonators......that is why pre-made catbacks sound better.....they put a lot of r&d into the pitch that the resonator makes.

a buddy of mine has the rsr exmag on his teg and we took the axle back off and for the most part it had the same deep tone, just louder....because the resonator was still there

rofl
******* douche bag
i read all your gay *** posts.....why don't you read up on exhaust design before you post something stupid again

so then this cat to axle back was on your mustang to? That is the car you were bitching about the muffler on.

If you want it to be quiet then buy a chambered muffler.

It not our fault that your dumb *** didn't sell the exhaust as a whole and now you have to find a part that is not made seperate

yeah i checked ebay 2 also. no no no i have a set of magnaflow mufflers on my mustang (completley different set up off road h pipe with the mangnaflow cat back) currently and i really dont like them. i have the middle portion of the apexi ws exhaust still on my lude with the resonator on there now and i just need a decent muffler now. if you would stop putting in personal opinions and just tell me where to find a muffler for a decent price, this would be over and provide a link b/c when i go look i can only find the whole system or some ricy style muffler that will sound like crap. i currently have a factory tuned muffler on my prelude and i dont like it. that is the whole point of this post.

ps how in the hell would i run a prelude exhaust system on a mustang? and im going to get some flow masters soon on the stang fyi

yeah its my fault that i wanted to help my buddy out i was goning to sell the car totally but i changed my mind and want to keep it now. oh i see u go to state i bet u hang out with cool ppl like dom and big dane.

oh yeah this is darkd1gt just on my roomates name.

We like to use complete words and usually coherent sentences here. It is also considered rude to interrupt a legitimate thread with some off-the-wall *** comment.

Now for some relevance...

darkd1gt, try Ed at truehonda.com (877-408-4348). I bought my cat-back WS2 from him, but it's a good chance that he will have or know where to get just the axle-back.

sarcasim
oh and congrats on putting a chambered muffler on your "project car"......guess this is not a performance project or you would have found a straight through muffler

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by Brian Hinson &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">yeah its my fault that i wanted to help my buddy out i was goning to sell the car totally but i changed my mind and want to keep it now. oh i see u go to state i bet u hang out with cool ppl like dom and big dane. </TD></TR></TABLE>
lol i know of big dane, no i don't hang out with him, but i wish my parents had his' money. I'm not trying to be a dick be you came in seeming like you had an attitude towards import owners with the justification that it was b/c you own a domestic. I don't care what you drive, if you ask a stupid question then you get a stupid answer.....try searching or doing some research next time

you and your friend need to do a little reading on exhaust design and the aspects that control tone/pitch/volume......after you know that then you can decide what type of (muffler in your case) system you want......then you just have to pick a brand

http://www.nsxprime.com/FAQ/Mi...y.htm

ps that muffler you posted on ebay will probably not sound good....."80mm inlet, 115mm outlet" That's a 3" muffler with a 4.5" tip don't see how it's going to be quiet

ok thanks so much Lewdin' Incognito. u are the only one who actually answered my post in a justified manner. yeah the reason i dont like import owners are they always give thier 2 cents of what they like and what they want u 2 do. by the way i have had more imports than domestics 1 mitsu and 3 hondas to a ford and a chevy. and in my own personal experiences the muffler makes the sound on a car its not the design of the whole system resinator does help out a lot though. its what is inside the muffler that counts. im sensing a call out when are u goin to fayettevile/jacksonville i would like to take it to the track and see what you have?

and by the way my project car has a straight through magnaflow muffler like i have said 10 times just not the straight through part and it sounds like imortal crap. and mufflers are for sound not hp any way whats the difference gonna be like 1-2hp at most.

and back to the import owners 75% of them are idiots. i asked this guy who was building his gsr about some rods, b/c my roome is building a ls vtec. But like always he didnt even listen to me, he was like "yah man ill sell ya the crank and u can take your b16 block and turn it into a 1.9 stroker". i didnt ask him about the crank at all and i clearly said he has a ls b18b2, he didnt even listen to me like most of the ppl with imports, just dont do.

when did i tell you what muffler you should put on? or what muffler i have/like?
call out? lol you are trying to pick a fight because i told you to do some research?
and i am guessing you didn't read that link, because it gives the flowmaster as an example of one of the more restrictive mufflers on the market.....it might make 1-2hp difference on an import, but the bigger displacement of a domestic amplifies the power loss from restriction

what high horse? the facts?

im on a high horse because his "personal experience" some how negates the laws of physics, flow mechanics, and vibrations?

yo man im just defending myself he started on me and like i called him out i didnt say my car was the s, i just said that most ppl into cars talk a lot out of thier a, and they really dont help ya out when you ask a simple question.

and in the words of peter ennnnnnnnnahhhhhhhh and we know its all true what i say.

i just wanted to get a muffler for 100-150 bucks that i liked heard in real life, that sounded good. im gonna call this place my buddy with a lancer got his evo 2 muffler for 100 bucks tommrow and see what they say.

and who would put a flowmaster on a import? but it doesnt make a difference on a v8 unless u have fi. n/a its still a minimal gain in hp.

sounds like a plan to me.....

just trying to explain that there was a lot more to the sound than just a muffler and they will sound different on every car.

i am always looking for people to go to the track with if you are not to pissed with me.....though i usually go to rockingham......but a buddy of mine at work has a purpose built oldsmobile that he will be trailering to fayettevile sometime in the next few weeks if you want to meet up.

my car is still a daily driver til i graduate and can afford a car payment so you wont see much out of it
