Default F1Spec Racing Seat Review

Today I received and Installed my Type 2 F1Spec Racing Seat. I am very happy with the quality of the Seat but I do have a few concerns with the Seat. First and foremost, the Weapon R Seat Brackets and the Sliders/Rails that come with the Seat, both suck *** royally. The Slider and the Weapon R Seat Brackets didnt even work tgether. I noticed in another F1Spec Seat Thread that F1Spec HAS identified the problem with the older Slider/Rails and the Weapon R Seat Brackets not working well together. They state that they will fix the issue by supplying the Correct ones needed. I'm going to call them and see whats up but for now I used JUST the Bracket. The Seat is positioned fine without using the Sliders and I am ver happy with it. The Seat is very comfortable and Im am supprisingly happy with how I fit in the Seat. Me being a big guy I figured it would be a tight fit. But NO. It is perfect. Defentiely an upgrade over Si Seats and I am snug in the Seat. If I do start to get sick of the positioning of the Seat I may in the future upgrade to the Buddy Club Low Position Seat rails, but for now I am quite happy. Sure there were a few problems but like they say "You get what you pay for" And $300 SHIPPED was an awesome Price.

I give the Seats out of 10

I also received mine today. The seat is the quality I expected and very good imo.

My problem lied with lining up the Weapon R brackets to the floor of the car. I only have 3/4 of the bolts lined up. I'm going to have to weld a small plate to extend the mounting location. Not too bad of a fix. Sliders don't slide too well at all.

Without the sliders though, the seat sits VERY VERY low imo and I'm 5'10".
They're still low with the sliders, but perfect.

Yea, my Brackets lined up fine. We had too mess around with it but after struggeling we got it to go in. The Sliders dont slide well at all. Im happy I didnt use them I like the positioning off the Seats. Theya re low enough to be comfortable. ill let everyone know what F!Spec does about the Rails/Bracket Situation.

Alright, if yours worked, I'm gg play with it some more. Did you have to slide the seat fwd/bwd in order to get them to line up or what?

Well I got the brackets to work. I had to dremel the holes out a little bit on the brackets, but it CAN work. Just gotta put some time into it. Now I'm completely happy.

Sliders came free. Weapon R Brackets cost $75 but I just found out I could have gotten a Sparco Bracket for 100 bucks

I got one seat too. Weapon R works... I'm sure Sparco's going to fit better and be stronger though.

I used some airtools and made the holes bigger. Even then, it's tough to do but definitely possible. You have to put in the inner rear bolt, then the front 2, then the outter rear. And then obviously you'lll need washers sicne the holes will be larger. I got it to work. Took me forever.

I just realized you said seat rails... I had to dremel them a little bigger as well and use washers as well. Definitely possible but a pain in the ***.

a lot of seats out on the market are not FIA approved. and honestly, i don't think you need a FIA approved seat unless you are doing real racing and planning to wear a full fire retardant race suit..
