I searched google and couldn't figure it out.
If I understand my service manual. my car only holds 1 quart of oil. This seems to be too low. is it right? if not how much oil does my car hold?

 

what car? Probably 3.75-4.5 quarts.

 

My holds over 5 buts its a h22

 

My D16 holds exactly 3.5 quarts.

 

does that count the oil in the filter... aren't you supposed to add oil after you run it for a little bit

not to be mean or anything but you have been here since 2003 and still dont know how many qts of oil your car holds? 3.5 there ya go.

 

I add a little to the oil filter, prime the seal on the filter, then once everything is done I add oil to the motor until it is full. Start the car and let it idle for 5 minutes, check for leaks and top off the oil if it is low. Most every time i use 3.5 quarts and put the half of quart behind my seat to use ICE.
