white paint streaking! paint pros chime in
Hey guys,
not to long ago i picked up an '03 Tafetta white Accord coupe w/ the V6. I suspect its been sitting on the lot for awhile but none the less, its mine now. i picked it up about 2 months ago and finally found time after the sale of my EM1 to give the accord some love. since it was my daily i didnt wash it that often.
I went to wash it last night and the car has some horrible streaking on the car. Its on the hood and dripping down the sides of the car. It almost looks like an old stain. Picture the side of a rusty boat where water has continually dripped in one location leaving a streaking mark on the finish.
The problem im having is similar, its a very dull gray streak that no matter how hard i washed or how much soap i used would not come out. just wondering what the next step would be. the clearcoat is in great shape. I think its just neglect from 2+ months of daily highway driving through rain and road debris etc.
should i try a cleaner wax? claybar?
