Default Q's, Re: IACV & FITV rubber seals ...

Vehicle: 5th Gen, 94 Accord Ex, 4 Dr, F22B1 V-TEC, Auto Trans, CD5 Chassis, 160K

These two valves have some specific shaped rubber seals on them:

1. Are the seals reusable? If yes, should any permatex products be used on them when re-installing after cleaning the part. What do you recomend, I have access to most of them in my garage.

2. If not, are new ones sufficient by themselves or should a gasket type of dressing be used? Again, recommendations?

On the FITV, should the large end cap with the coolant pipe be removed for cleaning?

Those rubber seals (a.k.a. o-rings) should be replaced.

No dressing is needed on the new gaskets.
