Misfire, timing or motor mount?
I have a D16Y7 with about 180,000 miles on it. My problem is whenever I get out of first it bogs down harder then it used to. Also when Im changing gears the car lurches/jerks back and forth a little. I drive the car locally so with all the frequent stops and red lights, it gets very annoying. Does this seem like the car is misfiring, the timing is off or a busted motor mount. Last time I checked the sparkplugs were ok, my friend had me open the hood and rev the motor and he said everything seemed ok. I dont want to mess with the timing unless I know its that for sure. Please help.
Yes, but I had it checked and its because of the O2 sensor(installed headers, no cat) But this has been happening before the header swap.
the jerk is defenitely the motor mount, have you swapped the timing belt at all, you are supoused to do that every 60-70k or so, if you haven't it wouldn't hurt to do it plus you will know your timing will be right then
Alright thanks guys, Ill make sure to do that. What is an efficient way to check my mounts? I opened the hood and revved so that my friend can look at it but he still couldnt pin point a bad mount.

I wouldn't say it's the timing because you said 1st gear is working fine. If you can wind out 1st to the redline w/o it bogging then it's not your timing. Either a misfire or an engine mount (most likely a misfire).
