Default moto luggage

seeking advice and opinions... I do not like having a backpack when I am carry lunch, laptop, shoes, and so forth from work. Plus I will be taking some 400 mile trips up north and down south next season. I am looking at getting some luggage for the prilia.

I am looking at that tail bag LINK

or maybe saddle bags

Just get enough luggage for what you need. More is usually better, but if you're not using all that storage, it's just a waste (not to mention, one more thing that could possibly fail).

The tail pack should suffice for what you're carrying, yeah?

are you gonna use a tank bag too? I want to get some type of rear bag for mine. I used to wear a backpack + a bag on the back. But the back on the back is no more after the bungee net broke and the bag got caught in my rear wheel. And well the backpack gets uncomfortable.

tonight i will see RJ's tank bag and make a decision.

i am debating saddle bags or a tail bag for long trip travel, and have a tank bag as well.

after getting a tank bag I'd say you'll want both. it's nice having the tank bag for a map or direction, toll money, put your cell phone and wallet in it. Mine has an ipod place and a place to put a camelback as well. Tank bags do look a lil gay but on a scale of 1-10 on usefullness they're a 12. heh

Tank bag was PACKED so it looks a lil gay. It's cause I had lost my other bag on the way home and didn't want shoes dangling from my backpack like I did on the trip home (after my incident...)

that's the exact bag I have and my buddy with a superhawk has the same one as well. Some people bash it cause Joe Rocket makes it but I've not had issues with them. It's very useful too. No issues with the magnets hurting anything either. Once it's on it ain't going anywhere too

Givi makes quality stuff. You definitely get what you pay for. But there are cheaper alternatives out there. The main advantage I see to Givi luggage is the hard pieces. OTOH, the soft ones are nice to tuck and fold away when you don't need them.

I have a Tour Master tankbag. It's held up really well with three years of abuse. I have a JR tailpack that I've only used once, and while it holds a lot of stuff, I'm not comfortable with being unable to see the stuff right behind me. I find myself constantly reaching behind to see if my tailpack is still there.

I rode down to NM a 14 hr, 1900 mile trip and took enough clothes for a week. Took a duffle bag and net it down to the rear seat on my 05 GSXR. I have pics..lol I also had a clear top tank bag for my map (big help). Place for my camera ect, tripod, water, shirt etc. and i could lay down on it.

Slightly big but it stayed..and if i had a throttle lock i could have layed back

Seriously...don't waist your money, buy a net and a duffle bag and you'll be set.

Let me tell you 14hrs in one trip is fun
